Max took Sarah to a cabin in Northern Wisconsin for Valentine’s weekend. They had to snowshoe through the woods for 2 miles to get to the cabin. About a half mile before reaching the cabin they came to a waterfall, where Max got down on one knee and proposed! What location did you choose to get married and what made you choose this venue?
“We had visited Akumal, Mexico two years before, had a wonderful time, and wanted to share this special place with our families. We wanted a relaxed, unique and memorable ceremony so we chose to have a Mayan blessing on the beach.”
How did you choose your wedding gown?
“I wanted a gown that was lightweight and comfortable since I was getting married on the beach. I tried on dozens of dresses at shops and they were all heavy and expensive. I ended up trying on bridesmaids dresses to get an idea of the shape I wanted. There were so many choices of lightweight gowns on JJsHouse — I looked at 6 dresses for a couple of weeks but there was one that kept standing out and I decided that had to be it!”
How did you feel in your dress?
“I felt gorgeous! It ended up being windy on our wedding day and I didn’t have any issues with the dress in the wind — and it looked beautiful on the beach!”
What made you choose JJsHouse?
“My sister-in-law recommended it and there were so many gowns to choose from, I knew I’d find one. I didn’t even need to look at any other websites.”
What was your favorite moment of the day?
“We didn’t know what to expect during the ceremony so it was full of surprises. For example, the Shaman told me to place beans in a bowl and I put about 40 of them in there — then he told me the number of beans I chose was the number of children I’d have!”

“Trust your instincts when looking for a dress that suites you best — you’ll know it when you see it!”
