What location did you choose to get married? What made you choose this venue?
“We had some close family friends who offered to let us get married in their backyard. They have quite a bit of land, and it’s surrounded by Indiana farmland. We felt it was the perfect setting to have a semi-casual backyard wedding. It also allowed us the freedom to do things however we wanted to – and make the event truly reflect our style and personal history. In the end, we loved how everything turned out.”

How did you choose your wedding gown?
“I wanted to find something that fit my personality and casual theme without spending my entire budget on my gown. I also wanted to be comfortable in my dress. What I loved about this dress was the detailed lace. on the top portion, it had a vintage feel. JJ House was the perfect place to find exactly what I wanted.”

How did you feel in your dress?
“It was perfect for the day. Not too hot or heavy, just the right amount of fancy to feel like a bride.”

What made you choose JJsHouse?
“I chose JJ’s House because of the great reviews and the lower price point. They also seemed to have the most current trending styles at much more affordable prices than any bridal store. Also, since the shipping was so quick, I knew I had time to change my mind if I needed to. In the end, when the dress arrived, it was completely perfect.”

What was your favorite moment of the day?
“I loved getting ready with my Mom, Sister, and closest friends. We spent time together at a spa day the day before the wedding and a few hours doing hair and makeup on the wedding day. It was incredibly relaxing and felt luxurious to just pamper ourselves. However, my most favorite moment of the day was during our vows, my husband surprised me with an heirloom ring from his great grandmother. I had never even seen it before or even knew it existed. It was a perfect, top-secret surprise and I was totally shocked and loved it!”

Three words that sum up your day?
“Joyous // Personal // Memorable”

What’s your best tip for dressing for the big day to share with other brides?
“I recommend finding a dress that makes you feel pretty but also still feels true to your personal style. You still want to feel like your self on your wedding day, and I would say comfort is key. If you are comfortable in your dress, you will be able to fully enjoy your day and move around as much as you need to. Try to soak in every moment, because the day goes by so quickly!”
