Gabe and Melissa got married on 27 January 2018. The couple got engaged when they went on a Long-Weekend hike out to Mount Tongariro in New Zealand, as they were coming back from their second day tramping in the heavy frost – Gabe popped the question!
Their wedding was in Piha on the west coast of New Zealand – Gabriel is from Auckland City, and their family and friends are all spread fairly evenly around this location. They both love the beach and nature – so naturally they decided that Piha was the best place possible to celebrate!
How did you choose your wedding gown?
“I went to a few stores and tried on dresses with my Bridesmaids who helped my to decide which shape bodice and skirt I liked, and also helped me to realise that I wanted the back of the bodice to be the main feature. I then looked through the amazing online range at JJsHouse and found the one that suited all my requirements!”
How did you feel in your dress?
“I felt snug and beautiful in my dress, the measurements were perfect and the skirt came out really flowy and smooth in the photos.”

“It was so hot, and once the sun had gone down and it cooled a little we just danced the night away and went down to the beach – it was absolutely perfect.”

“Just be YOU – you will feel the most comfortable and enjoy yourself the most when you’re just accentuating everything that you and your partner are about. Don’t let other people tell you how you should celebrate!”
