2.When is the wedding day?
Our wedding was on the 26th of October 2019.

3.How did you choose your wedding dress or bridesmaid dress?
I wanted to have 50s style dresses with petticoats. I knew I wanted my dress to have lace, and short sleeves was the dream! I’ve never wanted to wear a long dress I’ve just always wanted a shorter one. For the girls I gave them specific colours and the style and just let them pick what they wanted. The colours were red or mint.

4.How did you feel in your dress?
As soon as I put on the dress I knew it was for me. It was simple yet elegant, light, easy to breathe in (all the other dresses I tried were too difficult for me to breathe in let alone move). I felt like it was me.

5.What made you choose JJsHouse?
I was looking up places I could get tea length dresses, which is sooo difficult to find. I came across a few options and this one was the one I kept going back to. It was perfect.

6.What was your favorite moment of the day?
My favourite moment…that’s difficult as there were so many. I think it had to be during the ceremony, so we had a handfasting which is basically an old Pagan tradition. It’s beautiful and it’s always been something I’ve wanted to do, anyway, during the ceremony we got up to the vows part and it turns out our best man had left our written vows in the car. He ran off to get them and we all waited giggling at the hilarity of it. He finally came back and everybody cheered him. Honestly it’s a great story to tell and no one was mad we just thought it was incredibly funny. It was one of the main highlights for sure!

7.Three words that sum up the wedding day?
The three words to sum up my day would have to be; magical, hilarious, colourful.

8.What’s your best tip for dressing for the big day to share with other brides or bridesmaids?
My best tip for dressing on this big day is to be prepared. Make sure you’ve got comfortable underwear, extra stockings if needed, wear in your shoes (and bring an extra pair if you intend to wear heels because I did not do that! I was barefoot most of the evening!) and just enjoy getting ready with your girls and relax your nerves. Make sure you eat as well, and pee before you leave!
