He convinced me to go on a walk in the woods and surprised me around the bend with a table set with flowers, candles and chocolate. I was expecting a proposal perhaps on our trip to New York in a couple weeks following, or perhaps around my birthday, so he definitely caught me off guard and it was perfect and sweet! I traveled around the world for 6 years and returned to my home town for what I thought would be a short while to save to go back over seas. 2. When was the wedding day?
January 11, 2020.
3. How did you choose your wedding dress?
I had the exact picture in my mind of what I wanted my dress to be. I didn’t want it to have sparkles, just lace. I wanted it to be off-white, high-low in the front to show off my legs and shoes, a sweetheart low neckline and A line bodice. I didn’t want a super long train. Upon all of my research, when I came across the dress I bought from JJs, I knew it was the one! It checked all of the boxes.
4. How did you feel in your dress?
I have never felt more like a princess than on my wedding day in that dress. It was absolutely perfect and breathtaking! I got so many compliments as well.

6. What was your favorite moment of that day?
My favorite moment of the day was getting ready, waiting for my dad to come and grab me to walk down the aisle. I had a few moments of total peace and anticipation with only my best friend in the room. I felt such butterflies, I admired myself in the mirror, I twirled in my dress. I felt like every bride would ever want to feel on her wedding day, I never felt more beautiful, at the same time nervous, and also loved!

8. What’s your best tip for dressing on the Big Day to share with other brides or bridesmaids?
Have your family and close friends around to help you. At one moment, my sister was putting on shoes, my mom was hemming my dress, and my other sister was putting on my jewelry all the same time. I really couldn’t have done it without their help.
