What is your engagement story?
“We were in Fairfield, Illinois; the very small hometown of my mom; looking at Christmas lights in an empty park when he proposed. He hadn’t planned on it and didn’t have a ring yet but it was perfect. We found out later that the exact spot he asked me was where my grandpa proposed to my grandma.”
What location did you choose to get married? What made you choose this venue?
“Crescent Bend in Knoxville is where the ceremony was held. I chose it because the house spoke for itself and only need a few decorative touches. It was simple but elegant at the same time which was the look I wanted for my wedding.”
How did you choose your wedding gown?
“I actually chose my dress rather quickly. I had a small budget for my dress and was looking at online dresses when I came across my dress. I am 6ft so the long lines flattered my shape. It was a classic look that never goes out of style.”
How did you feel in your dress?
“I loved my dress and received so many compliments. It really looked like it came with a big price tag. It was a very unplanned warm February day and the dress was lightweight and breathable. It was extremely comfortable.”
What made you choose JJsHouse?
“I loved several designs from JJsHouse. The price was exactly what I wanted and I enjoyed being able to send in custom measurements. There is a huge variety of dresses and styles on JJsHouse so it was very easy to find what I wanted.”
What was your favorite moment of the day?
“My favorite moment was getting ready with my sisters and best friend and also taking first look pictures. It was very relaxing and laid back. I enjoyed being able to have that time with my family and husband before the ceremony.”

“Relaxed, beautiful, fun”
What’s your best tip for dressing for the big day to share with other brides?
“I wanted a dress that was special but also I could feel like myself in. Choose something you can be in for hours and still feel comfortable in. You don’t want the dress distracting you from enjoying the small moments of the day.”
