Abbey and Jake have always described their story as a fairy tale, and their wedding can certainly be described as a ‘fairy tale’ wedding! They had a woodland theme, and every detail was romantic, timeless, and classic! The detailing was minimalistic and rustic, and the minimalism made it very pretty!
Their ceremony was held at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch, with a romantic theme and beautiful color choices. They choose romance to be at the center of the day as they described their love story as such, a total fairy tale. They chose a color palette of simple shades that matched the outdoors around them; shades of white, greenery, with hints of gold accents.
The alter at the barn was draped with white, and filled with ferns, greenery, and white roses! The aisles were lined with mason jars of simple floral arrangements, so beautiful!
Abbey’s flowers were elegant and classic, they consisted of white roses and ferns, and these were also used in the alter arrangements and other florals. Modest, yet striking.
To match the fairy tale theme, Abbey chose a ball gown wedding dress, with a scoop neckline and lace floral embellishments. The dress has a breathtakingly long train, and she matched her outfit with a floral headpiece which was a seamless contemporary touch! Abbey certainly was the definition of a classy and timeless bride! Her bridesmaids wore elegant light pink dresses, and the best men wore stylish black tuxedos from Formal Affairs!
When Jake was asked what his most unforgettable moment was, he said “Everything. I don’t think there’s one thing I’ll forget.” Abbey also talked about her special day with awe “The whole day was a complete dream! Lesleigh did such an amazing job decorating and making our day feel unique and special to us… I love the atmosphere at The Barn. It was elegant, yet simple. It was also so easy and stress free for me! We didn’t have to worry about setting it up or cleaning or anything. ”
After the ceremony, the couple had a romantic grand exit! With a rose petal send off by their guests! They then honeymooned on an unplanned road trip using only maps and road signs (no Google Maps) how unique and what a perfect continuation of pure romance and simplicity.
