“My engagement story was one I had dreamed about most of my life. I wanted to be surprised, something grandiose, and I wasn’t disappointed. My favorite band from my youth is a group called Jackopierce. Jason and I had planned to go see them in concert. Unbeknownst to me, months before the concert, Jason had reached out to their band manager and the band and had set up the proposal during the show. Half way through the show, Jason excused himself to go to the bathroom. After a while I began to get worried about him, when they stopped the concert and started talking about something special for one of their fans. Out of nowhere, Jason appeared on stage and they were asking me to come up and join them. I was laughing and crying and just so happy. Jason got down on one knee and proposed to me. I said yes, the crowd went crazy, the band went wild and i kissed my fiancée. Best wedding proposal ever.”

What location did you choose to get married? What made you choose this venue?
“My business partner (we co-own and architecture firm) offered us to use her house on a few acres just outside of the city. It was picturesque and open. It had the beautiful views I wanted and it was free to use.”

How did you choose your wedding gown?
“I had a VERY specific idea in my head and searched for images based on my keywords. When the photo of my dress appeared, I knew it was THE ONE!! I sent in my measurements to JJ’s House and it arrived quickly and fit perfectly!!”

How did you feel in your dress?
“We had an outdoor June wedding in Texas so it had to be beautiful but comfortable. It was as comfortable as my favorite pajamas – well-made but lightweight, and the satin lining wasn’t itchy or hot. I felt elegant but tasteful for the outdoors, and I was able to dance all night! Again… PERFECT!”

What was your favorite moment of the day?
“My husband and I are both singers, and in the middle of the ceremony, we both sang to each other. One of my favorite songs from the musical Waitress. There was just so much love in that moment that I’ll never forget it.”

Three words that sum up your day?
“Dream Come True!”

What’s your best tip for dressing for the big day to share with other brides?
“Definitely find that look at is YOU and makes you feel beautiful. I love comfort because who wants to be stressing about that when you’re supposed to be enjoying your day!?”
