Becky felt like a winter princess in her gorgeous dress, her guests also thought she looked like Elsa from Frozen and we couldn’t agree more! Congratulations and have a blessed married life to you both!

What is your engagement story?

After five years together, he proposed on Christmas morning of 2016. It was a special quiet moment with just me, him and our two cats, and it was perfect.

What location did you choose to get married? What made you choose this venue?

We were married in Clarksville, Maryland, at the Ten Oaks Ballroom. Both of our families live nearby, so this location was perfect for getting all of our friends and families together.

How did you choose your wedding gown?

I was browsing JJ’s House for inspiration, and I came across this lovely powder blue dress with lace embellishments. Even though I already had a dress for the wedding ceremony, I fell in love with this dress for my reception.

How did you feel in your dress?

I felt like a winter princess. And, I’m not the only one – a bunch of our guests approached me and said that I looked like Elsa from Disney’s Frozen!

What made you choose JJsHouse?

I had never seen a dress quite like this before. And, even after getting custom tailoring done, the price was very reasonable.

What was your favorite moment of the day?

My favorite moments were all about the dancing. I danced with my new husband, my Dad, my nieces and nephews and my friends. I felt like I never stopped moving, twirling and laughing, and the dress kept up with me every step of the way.

Three words that sum up your day?

Living, laughing & loving.

What’s your best tip for dressing for the big day to share with other brides?

If you’re wearing a ballgown and are looking for a more dramatic look, I highly recommend getting a petticoat. I wore one under my dress, and it gave my dress an extra “twirl factor” and made it very fun to dance it. The pictures also came out great!
