Louise and Nick got married on December 2nd in Cape Town, South Africa surrounded by their lovely family and friends at the beautiful luxury hotel Grande Roche. What is your engagement story?
“We got engaged in the UK when we flew over there for a friends wedding. Nick proposed in a beautiful manor house in Northamptonshire over high tea and champagne.”
How did you choose your wedding gown?
“Lots of time was taken to look at gowns, but they were so costly and I wanted something fairly simple. I decided on the dress I eventually wore as it was light, comfortable and very me!”
How did you feel in your dress?
“Wonderful! I actually burst into tears when I put my dress on when my hair and makeup was finished on the wedding day. It was magical!”

“Price and I knew that the quality was good as I had already ordered a few dresses for friends occasions. I also ordered all my bridesmaids dresses and the flower girl dress from JJs, and we even ordered the engraved flasks for the groomsmen from JJs too!”

What was your favorite moment of the day?
“I actually do not have one, as there was so many. I think that my father coming to fetch me was one of my favourite moments, as I was the first in the family to get married. He was so overwhelmed, and again, more tears from all the girls. Walking up the aisle to Nick was amazing, but very nerve wracking too.”

“Spectacular, fun, smiles!”
Any tips for future brides?
“Don’t leave it too late, and follow your instinct. You know what works for your body shape. Think about location, heat, wind, where you are having the ceremony and dress for that too. The dress is important, but you have to wear it for hours and hopefully also dance the night away. Be comfortable!”
