1. Please share with us your love story or engagement story.
Bride:
We went to college together and went to the same church but we were so different so I never thought in a million years that he would ever like me. He was this nice, dutiful guy and I was wild and fun-loving. Not that he did not like fun, he just had more structure to his ways. Even though he was like that, I always secretly admired him and fancied him. I thought I wanted someone who was fun-loving and adventurous like me but there was a part of me that felt like maybe I need a nice guy who I could get married to and would be with me for the long run. I guess he secretly liked me too because he asked me if I wanted to go on a date with him one day. When he asked me out I couldn’t sleep each day leading up to our first date. I never thought in a million years that he would ever ask me out. Our first three dates were a little rocky because we were just trying to get to know each other and it was not that easy flowing. I think we were both nervous just trying to make sure that this all works out. But after the initial three dates, I started seeing more of his character and heart for me. He was so loving and loyal to me and never found someone who I get along with so well. I like to say that we are soulmates because we really complement each other so well.
Groom:
It is pretty much exactly how Joy said it but just wanted to add that for me, her love and grace towards me outshined the most in our relationship. There were times where I didn’t know what I was doing in the relationship but she constantly loved me and stayed with me and I fell in love with her because of that. We are also very opposite in our personalities so she helped bring a lot of fun and laughter into my life.
2. What made you fall in love with each other?
Bride:
I love his loyalty and patience towards me. He is so caring and takes care of me so well. He also prioritizes my happiness over his and I am so lucky to have a guy like that.
Groom:
I honestly think we balance each other out. She compliments me and I really like how opposite we are. She brings a lot of joy into my life of how fun and spontaneous she is.
3. What was your wedding day like?
My wedding location was in Riverside, CA and the wedding theme was simple and elegant. When I was young, I envisioned that I would have a super fancy wedding but as I got older, I liked that a wedding was just about love. Being in love with someone and getting to share that special day with all the people you love. That is what I wanted my wedding to be all about rather than the decorations.
4. What was your favorite moment of that day?
My favorite moment was seeing all my friends and family share this amazing moment with me.
5. Three words to sum up the wedding day.
Love, dreamlike, wonderful.
6. How did you choose your wedding dress?
I always had a dress I was envisioning for my wedding day. I wanted something classy and elegant with nothing super distracting. It was actually crazy because I went to so many wedding stores and the only place I found my dream dress was JJHouse.
7. How did you feel in your dress?
I felt so comfortable and at ease. I wanted something that was not heavy or large and something I felt I could move in and still feel like it was my wedding day.
8. What made you choose JJsHouse?
Some of my friends had gotten their wedding dresses there and decided to take a look. But what really sold me is that they carried the exact vision of what I wanted for my dress at such a reasonable price.
9. What’s your best tip for dressing on the Big Day to share with other brides or bridesmaids?
My best tip would be is to always have friends and family with you. The experience of trying on your dress in front of them is bonding and creates so many memories to look back upon.
10. Did you have any problems preparing your wedding? How did you solve it?
My wedding went overall really smoothly because of all my friends helping me. I think the only difficulty was guest seating and arranging where everyone should sit. I had to go through multiple rounds of thinking about where family should be and how to ensure that a table is not awkward. I just went through many edits of rearranging until I found the best seating.
